DFW Strong and Chisholm Trail 100 Club are pleased to announce their partnership in an effort to raise funds for the families of Dallas and DART police officers killed or seriously injured in the line of duty on July 7, 2016.
All proceeds raised by the DFW Strong/CT100 Club initiative will be handled by the Chisholm Trail 100 Club, an existing 501(c) 3 non profit organization that specializes in supporting first responder families after line of duty deaths and injuries.
DFW Strong is a fundraising campaign led by former Dallas Cowboys’ player Jay Novacek and his wife Amy who have strong connections to affected families and the law enforcement community. DFW Strong has already begun an initiative to raise money by placing blue donation buckets in partnering businesses throughout the metroplex. The blue bucket collections are being headed up by Sherri Aaron, wife of Mansfield Chief of Police who is also the Director of the Friends of the Police organization . The DFW Strong committee is also preparing a fundraising event that will include several sports and music celebrities, gourmet food from local Chefs and auctions for unique items and custom experiences. As well as a great event t-shirt. The event will be held at the American Airlines Center and tickets are now available on either www.dfwstrong.com or www.ct100.org . Tickets are available for a VIP Autograph signing event as well as General Admission tickets.
All donations made on either website will receive a tax deductible receipt, provided the donor leaves contact information at the time of the donation. Donations in the form of cash or checks can also be received made out to Chisholm Trail 100 Club or DFW Strong to PO Box 332, Burleson, TX 76097.
